Maybe I should have paid more attention in Home Ec class… this year’s winning recipe was developed as a homework assignment!! The 16th Pillsbury Bake Off awarded the $25,000 grand prize to Janis Boykin’s Peacheesy Pie – not bad for a 17 year old!! But her pie was not on the cover – this was the first year that the winning recipe was not featured on the cover of the cookbook. Fantastic addition for cookbook collector or foodie!! Such a great piece of history and full of delicious recipes, sixteenth in a series that continues today!
