The cook booklet is in excellent gently used condition with wear, the pages are clean and unmarked but do have slight darkening.

The 23rd Pillsbury Bake Off was a first – it awarded two grand prizes which would continue for five more years. The year’s grand prize accolades were awarded to Rose DeDominicis’ Streusel Spice Cake as well as Isabelle Collins’ Quick ‘n Chewy Crescent Bars. The Streusel Spice Cake recipe actually became the foundation of a new line of cakes mixes sold by Pillsbury! Held for the first time in Texas, the cover of the cookbook featured the darlin’ dough boy calling the cowhands for chow while wearing his cowboy hat. Fantastic addition for cookbook collector or foodie!! Such a great piece of history and full of delicious recipes, twenty-third in a series that continues today!
