A collector’s souvenir plate celebrating the Sesquicentennial anniversary of the founding of Ashland, Ohio in 1965. In the center of the plate is the Johnny Appleseed monument, surrounded by various other sites including: Ashland College, the Opera House, McNulty House, the Old Court House, and the Old Interurban. In green transferware, the plate has a diameter of just over 10 inches and is backstamped with info on the town and Kettlesprings Kilns …R.D. 1 … Alliance, Ohio. It is in very excellent used condition, without cracks or crazing, but it does have a spot on the rim (by the Ashland College picture) that looks like a small flaw / chip in the glaze.
