“Betty Crocker’s Good and Easy Cook Book.” Published by Simon and Schuster in 1954, this is a first edition, fourth printing; it is a wire-spiral hard cover measuring 5¾ x 7¾ inches with 256 pages. The cookbook is in good condition; pages are clean and unmarked but the cover shows wear, soiling and some tears; there is an inscription written in ink on the inside of the front cover as well as a recipe written on the inside of the back cover.
From the back cover: “Here is an entirely new kind of cook book, attractive and easy to use, that takes into account all the frozen, canned and ready-mixed foods that speed up and simplify cooking today. If you like to cook but have little time you will appreciate these hundreds of good and easy recipes and cooking ideas. Each of them has been tested and retested in Betty Crocker’s sunny kitchens. This book will save countless hours in meal planning and preparation for busy homemakers.”
