A collector’s souvenir plate celebrating the 100th anniversary of the founding of Homer City, Pennsylvania in 1854. In the center of the plate is a depiction of the great philosopher surrounded by various landmarks including the Homer City Grade School, Homer City Methodist Church, the Prairie State Incubator and the Old Mill on Yellow Creek. In blue transferware, the plate has a diameter of 10 inches and is backstamped with info on the town and Kettlesprings Kilns …R.D. 2 … Alliance, Ohio. It is in very excellent used condition without chips, cracks or crazing.
