“Favorite Recipes Old and New” cookbook compiled by the North Carolina Federation of Home Demonstration Clubs. It was published at North Carolina State College, Raleigh, and contributors are named. The cookbook is a plastic-comb spiral bound soft cover measuring 6 x 9 inches with 197 pages, it is in good gently used condition, the covers have a lot of soiling but the pages are unmarked.
The book is filled with unusual recipes, some quite old. Some that are included are: Sea Turtle Hash, Pine Bark Fish Stew, Rock Fish Muddle, Old-Fashioned Salt Rising Bread, Pone Bread, Great-Grandmother’s Gingerbread, 100 Year-Old Fruitcake Recipe, Texas Cake and Minnehaha Cake.
