Description
“Recipes of the Durbin” cookbook by Mary Durbin. Originally published in December, 1979, this is a second printing from December of 1980, so stated. The cookbook is a plastic-comb spiral bound soft cover measuring 6 x 8½ inches with 155 pages. It is in fair to good gently used condition with a lot of wear to the covers particularly around the edges, also the first top spine of the comb is broken; flipping through quickly the pages looked clean and unmarked but some pages have been folded as markers for favorite recipes.
Synopsis
The Durbin Hotel was a legendary, historic hotel that operated for many decades in Rushville Indiana until it closed in 1981. The iconic building was built in 1851 and still remains today. This cookbook contains many of the Durbin’s most popular recipes including desserts, appetizers and main dishes along with photos of the family, restaurant and hotel through the years.
