A vintage jointed porcelain miniature doll from The Virginia Atelier, made by Virginia Rae Davis Orenyo, it is numbered 297 and dated 1991 (I think it is 1991, the date is hard to make out.) This is a female doll, I’m not sure if her hair is real or mohair, it’s wrapped around her neck for shipping with a coiled bun in the back. Her bum is marked: VRDO …. 1991 … 297. Her total height is 5½ inches, her legs are 3 inches, each arm is 2¼ inches. She is in as new, unused condition.
All of my dollhouse miniatures come from the estate of a collector who died in 2006 at age 93. She was the only child of a Naval officer who lived much of her life overseas, she never married and was a huge collector of dolls and dollhouses.
