Many claim that Danish cooking far surpasses the French and perhaps it is that French finesse has been added to centuries of careful cuisine in Denmark. This is the first comprehensive Danish cookbook stressing two major features– Danish baking and Danish dining. The end result covers all courses with particular emphasis on breads, dessert cakes, cookies and the open sandwiches that form the smorrebrod.
